Our Story

It started with a village, a loom, and an idea

Varso was founded by Komal Baldaniya in Kutch, Gujarat, a region famous for its rich craft traditions. She visited artisans in a village on the edge of Kutch, saw their beautiful handwork, and asked a simple question: how can this heritage give them a better future?

The answer became Varso. The name comes from a Gujarati word that means “heritage”, the things passed down to us. Working closely with local weavers and embroiderers, the team studies designs from around the world and turns traditional crafts like Kala Cotton, Ajrakh, and Soof embroidery into fresh, modern pieces you'll actually want to wear every day.

The result: clothing that carries a story in every thread, supports the people who make it, and is kinder to the planet.

The Hands Behind Varso

Every piece has a maker

Behind every Varso piece is a real person: a weaver at the loom, a printer at the block, or an embroiderer with a needle. Many belong to the Meghwal community of Kutch, keepers of the rare Soof embroidery craft.

When you choose Varso, you support their families, their skills, and the survival of traditions that took centuries to build.
